Aurora Borealis is the Latin name for the Northern Lights, a phenomenon with which nature generously adorns the sky with fascinating colors and patterns during the long dark nights of the North Pole. Milena Dimitrokallis was born in Athens, Greece in 1971. She studied Business and Management Studies in the U.K. She attended a course in Philosophy of Mind and completed Drawing and Painting courses with painter Mariela Konstantinidou. She worked in the Advertising industry, the Organising Committee for the Olympic Games Athens 2004, and on the construction and operation of a small villa complex in the island of Naxos. Since 2011 she has been working as a painter, participating in international painting competitions, art fairs and exhibitions in Athens, Barcelona, Milan, New York and Miami. She likes to think of herself as an impulsive artist. Her work is an expression of an inner journey in which she explores the primal and simple language of the soul through abstract forms and different mediums and techniques.
